Bands to Know: Savage Hands

My job as an in-house graphic designer allows me to listen to music (via Spotify) for 9 hours a day, 5 days a week. I've come to find Spotify's "Related Artists" section to be incredibly reliable when searching for that new band. Being part of the Black Skye team, I have the privilege to recommend some of the bands I come across. One thing to note is that I'm personally a big fan of vocally-driven post-hardcore bands (think Hands Like Houses for example). This band falls into that category. A recent signing to SharpTone Records, Savage Hands deserves a listen. They've managed to take what can be a "beautiful" style and given it an edge. The vocals are spot on, and the choruses catchy, but they don't overpower the riffs that had me bobbing my head (let's define that as a subdued form of headbanging) at my desk. Their debut 7-track album Barely Alive is available now. Go give them a listen and show support with the links below.
